 SCFCNA Annual Virtual Conference

“Resilience, Resources, and Faith in the Midst of a Pandemic”

The ripple effects of the Covid 19 pandemic are widespread and affect people not only physically but also mentally, socially, and spiritually.  While the faith community is often a place where people seek help and refuge, many faith community leaders including the faith community nurse often lack the knowledge to identify the needs, to make referrals to appropriate resources or implement appropriate interventions. Those completing the seminar will have increased knowledge of how to identify mental health needs for various age groups that may be related to the impact of the Covid pandemic and identify interventions or referral sources to aid those in need.  The pandemic also has also amplified existing health inequities. Those attending the conference will be able to identify racial disparities and the effects on health; and identify interventions and resources to improve health across the races.

5.5 Contact Hours applied for through AnMed Health, an approved provider of nursing continuing professional development by the South Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.  Approval valid until 11-30-21.
